Welcome to theWhanganuilocal.com. Your regular site for Whanganui Local information
Welcome to thewhanganuilocal.com, your new home for everything that makes our city thrive. Let’s start with what we are not: we are not a traditional newspaper, and we don't do "doom and gloom". You won’t find sensationalized headlines, stressful current events, or endless negativity here. We believe our community deserves a break from the constant noise of modern media, so we’ve stripped all of that away to keep things straightforward, optimistic, and highly practical. Keeping up with your town should be an enjoyable habit, not rocket science.
Instead, we are a dedicated, creator-led showcase of Whanganui’s people, businesses, and local economy. Our mission is to celebrate the local characters, champion our hard-working business owners, and highlight the positive economic progress driving our district forward. We want to act as a useful bridge, both online and in print, to connect our neighborhoods and support the people doing good things in our region. Because this is a platform built truly for our community, your contributions are incredibly welcome. Whether you have a local story to tell, a new business opening to share, An interesting historical story,or a community update to get out there, we want to hear from you.
